So time to share my terrible english with the world. Ive been meaning to start a blog for some time now but today ive finally sat down and done just that. Most of you reading this will probably know me already so I won't try and cram my entire life into my first blog, instead ill just give a little update on the year so far. If I've learnt anything from reading other peoples blogs its keep it short and sweet.
So 2014 started off pretty slow training wise, that was until I got a call from the one and only french man in Loughborough, Nick Domise, asking if I wanted to go to Aguilas with him and some others to train. Little did I know, these "others" were pretty handy triathletes. Anyway like any other Triathlete would, I jumped at the offer of training in the sunshine compared to the rain and wind of Britain, so off to Aguilas we went...

After a pretty horrific journey to Aguilas with these two involving two coaches, three taxis and 8 hours of sitting on my skinny ass, training finally started. It was a pretty big kick up the arse going from just shy of 20 hours a week to the 34 I did in the first week and by the end of the 18 days I was pretty wrecked and looking forward to coming home. I took a little comfort knowing I wasn't the only one though. When I got back to loughborough I had a good few chats with Mark who had coached us out in Spain, and came to the agreement that training with this group would be beneficial for me (needless to say really). So since back I've been training well and have a few new things on the cards, this year I'm focusing on Xterra, so I get to do what I love most, ride my Mountain Bike!
Ive been lucky enough to get some great support over the years and this year is no exception, as always Torq are providing me with fantastic nutrition thats not only damn tasty, but keeps me going fast! This year I've joined Racetime Events and so far Johnny has looked after me so much sorting me out with an amazing new bike and various other goodies...

The new Giant XTC Advanced 650b around cannock this morning.
Racing.... So far I've done two small key races, 1485 no frills duathlon and Racetime Events very own Desford Pool Tri and both were wins. I took plenty of positives away from both races and highlighted some areas for improvement as well as a new pair of Skechers.
Till Next time, lets hope this sunshine sticks around Im bored of winter training now.Good luck to anyone racing this weekend and see you around.
